Have seen multiple instances of I.C.E. agents dressing like, i.e., posing as, utility or construction workers, in an effort to trick victims into willfully exiting their homes. Sickening stuff. Our tax dollars at work.

If you were BROWN at all it was 100% up for you. They were attacking Mexicans for looking Arab. If you were Arab you were automatically Muslim. It was insane.
For younger people who were not there...
Know that this country did not come together after 9/11.
They went after every brown skinned person they could. Americans didn't know the difference between a Arab and a Sikh. We perpetrated and tolerated violence and misinformation on these people.

SNAP kids are just as deserving of a birthday cake, a soda, & a little childhood joy as any other kid.
Kids shouldn’t have to understand their family’s financial situation before being allowed to be excited about cake.
Somehow we’ve reached where that apparently requires a congressional hearing.

I wish I was a "bigger" person but I am honestly not. I am deeply saddened that an event is being held at my alma mater of Tulane University to address women's incarceration and my organization was not informed despite all the work we do here in Louisiana and nationwide for women.
