Sunna Text: WHAT PANEL 4 Sunna and Cory sit on a park bench. It's a fall day; people walk and run nearby. SUNNA: All right, open it up. CORY: Oh boy. Okay. To be transparent. The film is not funded or in official production. In fact, MONK will be at Annecy this year looking for potential partners and investors. However, there is a lot of buzz around this project already fueled entirely by your public outcry earlier this year. MONK will also be setting up a production diary for the project which you can follow here: @afterworlddiary and at instagram.com/afterworlddiary/ This is not a crowdfunded project but your enthusiasm and word of mouth can only help them as they strive towards a greenlight. For my part, I am fully dedicated to Clara & The Below for the foreseeable future. Of course, if MONK can secure the means to produce this film they will bring me on to direct but realistically, that is some time off. MONK is best known for their stellar work on films like "Wish Dragon" and "Nezha 2". They are fantastic people and have assured me NO GENERATIVE AI will be used on this film whatsoever Please join me in supporting them as they give this story another chance. It's a long shot but your support has made a huge difference already. It's because of you that we are even where we are. Finally I would like to reveal the name of the film. Its codename in development was simply "Afterworld" but we have decided to adjust it to "Afterworld: กลับบ้าน." กลับบ้าน is a phrase that translates to "return home." Fitting for a project that is now safely in Thai hands. This stunning art was done by the mega-talented @wrandonbu, who is responsible for most of the incredible art you've seen thus far. Matt Braly has revealed that his scrapped Sony Pictures Animation has been saved by a Thai studio called Monk Studios who helped do some work on both Wish Dragon and Ne Zha 2 and will be named Afterworld. Man, I have not been this hyped to see a revival since Nimona. So happy!
