Ever wished your media server could just live on a USB stick?

That's ReelDrive.
Download the app once, drop a media/ folder onto your drive, plug it into literally any computer and it just works.

Built with Rust+Tauri 2+Svelte 5.

I’ve started to create an agentic ecosystem.

I’ve setup Hermes and a paperclip instances.

Do you have any suggestions?
Some tips?

I’ve switched to Apple calendar for a few years now, I’ve found a free appointment manager for my website.

But it’s time to come back to Google.

My OSS ShellSentry is online.

It’s a basic version but I’m working on it

ShellSentry dev log.

Built the Go layer that intercepts SSH commands and checks them against a deny list before they even reach the model.

Fast filtering first, ML second.
No need to run inference on obviously blocked patterns based on general configurations.

So Grok 4.5 is out and we in EU don’t have it.

Apple Intelligence is now somehow intelligent, we don have that either.

Will we be the last ones to get every new technology?

I’m filling stupid right now.

I just find out that you can describe a 24h circular clock using sin and cos

23:59 is really near to 00:00, and that’s how a clock/day works.

Why I’ve never thought about that?

Mac users.
How often do you restart or switch off your Mac?

I usually don’t, but after 2/3w I feel it slowing down and a ram always full.

Sunday. Isolation trees and pool time.

Can't decide what to build next as open source.

SSH anomaly detection to catch compromised keys before they do damage.

Or a p2p CLI chat, encrypted, no server, no cloud.

What would you actually use? 👇 #buildinpublic

2AM and I’m studying, again.

Why can’t I study during the day?

Intense week.
Studied new stuff, juggled multiple projects, now it's finally Friday.

Last thing to do: gym.

Tomorrow I’ll be back at it on open source side projects, DocForge first.

I’m doing the thing I hate most about shipping: polish.

Hours fixing padding, query times, texts, spinners, trying to make it faster.

Nobody notices when it's right.
Everyone notices when it's not.

Are you guys using fable?

I can’t with a 100$ account, it’s too expensive

DocForge is working with a local model.

Slow as hell because of hardware limits, but it works end to end.

Self hosted AI has a cost, and it's not just money. It's patience.

3 AM studying X3DH and asynchronous key exchange protocols.

How to turn async keys into synchronized ones, self-signed certificates, the whole rabbit hole.

Things I never thought I'd need until I actually needed them.

Heading to New York at the end of August.

I never usually plan meetups but this time I'd love to change that.

Any builders, devs or indie hackers around?

Would be cool to grab a coffee and talk shop.

Built a Wikipedia that generates itself.

Ask for a topic.
If the article doesn't exist, AI writes it on demand and links everything together.

Just came across Epic Games' Lore, their new version control.

A promising solution for projects that mix code with large binary files like assets, textures, binaries.

Git was never really built for that.
Worth keeping an eye on.
