so uhh.. funny thing... guess who got a raise today LOL
that said, my employers are getting the bare minimum from me from now on. going on 3.5 years with no raises as of this week.
the only reason i haven't moved to another job is because no one else in this small town (population around 1200) will give similar hours and pay with consistent hours.

If you got paid $13/hr in 2024 and still get paid $13/hr in 2025, you're living on essentially a pay cut, because the paycheck doesn't go as far in terms of groceries and bills.
treat lack of a yearly raise as a pay cut and cut your effort accordingly.
If they value you, they'll SHOW IT in raises.
