Let me remind folks that the U.S. has been THE top donor to WHO, having contributed over $1.2 billion from 2022-2023 alone. Our withdrawal greatly threatens GLOBAL public health surveillance systems and makes each and every country more vulnerable to existing and emerging health threats.
Trump just withdrew the United States from the World Health Organization.
The US is now the only country in the world besides Liechtenstein to not be a member of the organization.
