Enterprise imaging without the lock-in. Vendor-neutral archiving, universal viewing, and true data independence for healthcare. ASX: M7T
A failure queue full of old, already-understood errors costs more than clutter. It can hide the one new failure that matters today. Work the queue down and fix root causes, so the new one stands out.

When routing is manual, every study depends on someone remembering where it goes. The Communication Workflow Engine turns that into a rule: define it once and it applies every time, with each workflow shown in a graphical interface.

"I think the more people understand how it works, the more they can understand the really smart places to apply AI and the risky places."

"Open standards" is easy to put on a slide. Ask for the conformance details: DICOM over both DIMSE and DICOMweb, a configurable HL7 engine, PIX patient identity matching. The brochure will not tell you.

When St Teresa's Hospital set out to replace its legacy PACS in November 2019, the problem was the path forward: limited migration options that often meant disruptive forklift upgrades, and scaling only with costly additional hardware.

A lot of writing on radiology burnout is theory. This paper was written with DocPanel, who run the cloud reading model it describes, on building coverage that lasts instead of a stopgap.

You bought the archive as a filing cabinet. Now it is being asked to connect every image across the enterprise, feed the EHR, and give new AI tools something reliable to read.

Most buying decisions have not caught up. Teri Thomas on why:

Thin slices often have a shorter useful life than the study they belong to. An ILM rule can purge only those series while the study keeps its full retention.

Keep the study together. Act on the part you want gone.

The cloud's real contribution to imaging is aggregation, not storage: patient and imaging data hosted together and synced, so no one spends the day moving large studies between systems by hand. The case, in Ahead in the Cloud:

Most imaging strategies settle where studies are stored and how they are viewed. Fewer settle routing: getting the right study to the right place automatically, in every department. It is one of six considerations in our paper.

Most people in a health system touch imaging data without being taught how it works. The guide nobody gets at onboarding.

Structured reporting argued well for once: ambiguity should survive only where it does work. Marc Kohli of UCSF on report copy.

UCSF bought a DICOM router ten years ago for routing reasons. Marc Kohli now calls it their AI orchestrator. The least glamorous system turned out to be the one that matters.

Vendor neutral is a claim almost every archive makes. The test is simpler than the marketing: can you get your studies out, in a standard format, without paying to leave?

An archive is not a folder. It is the thing that decides how hard it is to change your mind about everything else.
