Classic U.K. politics. Slow, plagued by vested interests and intra-party politics. And then panic when something people said would happen, happens.

Markets getting a nasty reminder today that moving onto the next story doesn’t mean it’s over in reality. Strait of Hormuz, tariffs, private credit, Greenland, etc. still tail risks lurking. Roubini before would’ve been doing the rounds on TV reminding, but even he’s a bull

Sadly Nick Ferraris surname isn’t Glasscock because it would’ve made the Farage £5mn spending option more interesting than Ferraris

Ukraine shows incredible restraint to not do the same to Moscow. What do Russian strikes like this achieve? The sort of thing ISIL did…
The Dormition Cathedral of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, one of the most sacred places in the Orthodox Christian world, is being consumed by flames right now after a Russian strike

Hmm funny that sellside seem much more positive on Chinese hukou reform potential than citizens I talk to or people not selling an equities bull story.

Obviously, a reform China watchers have been calling for over the past decade. So potentially significant

Did Farage do a video address on policing for the murder of Sarah Everard or when officers took photos of the dead bodies of murdered sisters?

I don’t get this take that Arsenal should’ve tried to do what Inter did against PSG. You play to your strengths and Arsenal took PSG much further than Inter did

Market rally on the prospect of the war continuing for another 2-3 weeks and the strait being left closed after that makes 0 sense. Unless the tail risk of US invasion was heavily priced in (it wasn’t) I can’t see a reason for this bounce. Inflation is coming, PMIs and March inflation data show.

Entirely predictable strikes on Iran. Was always when, not if, and to what extent. The aim of the strikes is the fundamental question.

At the moment, it sounds like an attempt to erode Iran’s defence/response capabilities. To further put pressure on the nuclear negotiations.

I doubt this works.

I find Prof Kumar far too negative here on the India-US trade deal.

I understand the desire for India to be self sufficient but it’s not worked for the economy despite multiple attempts.

The workforce growth demands a new model: embracing export-led growth
