After months of convincing myself that “nobody needs another programming book for kids in 2026”, I finally finished mine.

I wanted to do this for years but last year I finally had the courage to start working on it.

I just love StoryGraph’s stats! I think my readings were quite diverse, but this year I want to pick more books from the Global South.

The highest rated books are How to Stay Sane in an Age of Division by Elif Shafak, The Vegetarian by Han Kang and The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. The average book length is 230 pages. The average time to finish is 6 days. I’ve read mostly non-fiction (57%). The most read genres are contemporary (3 books), essays, history, politics and literary.
