I sincerely hope that the family who kept 84 dogs in a filthy house in Doncaster feel the full force of the Law. Hopefully the dogs - and also a couple of cats - will go to good homes who appreciate them. Absolutely sickening. Well done to the RSPCA for getting them out of there.

The Côte d’Azur never fails to make me feel happy. Have walked many miles today along the coast. Stopped for a lovely lunch in Juan les Pins and walked off the calories over the hill into Antibes.

Watching Italian road workers from the balcony. They don’t mess about - any cars left in the way are towed away with the help of the police. After 10pm now and still all going on!
