I've also done everything I can on my end to protect myself. if duty roulette gives me a duty I know is unsafe, I tell the party I can't do it because of epilepsy and immediately leave
I use mods to reduce to problem, but mods don't fix the problem - as I will detail in the next posts

Dawntrail hospitalised me, and I know I'm not the only one. there are parts of the expac where I had to ask my non-epileptic friends to get me through because it was so hostile, and duties I can't ever do myself

it's looking less and less likely that @square-enix-games.com will make Dawntrail epilepsy-safe. if they don't do it while DT is current content, I fear they never will
I complain about this a lot but I do so because I otherwise love FFXIV. at least make the game safe if not actually accessible

caved in and finally got a supernote nomad, and have been constantly writing in it. this is the only device we've felt like so far that could truly replace a paper notebook. it feels great to write on out of the box (using a lamy all star pen), fits in our daily purse.

idk who needs it, but my YunoHost wouldn't let me install apps (i didn't screenshot the error), bc on my Debian install, reading git remotes from GitHub on *public* repos are now prompting for login for some reason, causing the installer to 500. forcing system-wide git to HTTP 1.1 seems to fix it

apropos of nothing, here's a terrific feature about a meaningful, life-saving use of artificial intelligence, which I have been thinking about for over a year. it's just extremely stupid to say that AI has zero benefits even if you don't think it should be used in writing (which I don't)!
