Because I had an orange chocolate Japanese KitKat earlier I wanted a Burl Ives. 2 oz sherried scotch (this is the last bottle that maybe exists of a favorite and tastes like a chocolate orange) .5 each creme de cacao and sweet vermouth 4 dash angostura and an orange twist. Fuck I love this drink.

Perfected Perfect Manhattan. 2 oz Rye, .5 sweet vermouth, .25 each dry vermouth and fino sherry, 1 dash each angostura and orange bitters. And an amerena cherry. Excellent. Except I’d rather have a maraschino cherry. Otherwise excellent.

I fucked up my brown butter wash on the bottle of powers gold Irish whisky, so this drink is subpar but is actually very promising. 2 brown butter washed Irish whisky with 1/3 Guinness syrup (made with 2-1 Demerara to stout) and an orange twist.

Singapore Sling. 1.5 each gin and pineapple juice, .5 each lime juice and cherry heering, .25 each Benedictine and Cointreau, 3 drops saline, dash angostura, shaken with lime husks and poured over ice garnished with maraschino cherries and a splash of soda water.

I made a Manhattan with a lovely new to me Spanish vermouth made with Oloroso and PX sherries. And then I made grenadine. And a Jack Rose. ('Tis the season) 2 apple brandy, .75 each lime and grenadine shake with lime rind and two drops saline.
