Shopping for airfare. Too old and tall to ride with the hoi polloi in the cheap seats, too cheap to pay 4x the price for premium economy. Why is a slightly bigger seat so much? Sigh. Not going nowhere.

Hiked St. Sauveur Mountain and Valley Peak today. Part of our new mission to reach all of the summits in Acadia.

Just heard that Bo Derek and the Ted Lasso guy and others are in town filming some Indie flick? Wondering if I crossed paths with them at the Hannaford. In retrospect, should have had dinner at the Brooklin Inn, or Arborvine, or Aragosta. Have totally missed brush with fame, sigh.

I am in Reviere du Loop, Quebec. Went to northern Maine to take a photo for a contest, but could not get excited about spending a night in Ft. Kent. So here we are. Nice town, excellent dinner, St. Lawrence river, and people are welcoming despite current events. Wish I spoke French.

Took the Sunfish out this morning. Quite calm, barely enough wind on the pond to sail, but very relaxing. A harbor seal was watching me, and came within 10 or 15 feet of the boat. Usually they keep their distance. Great view of him because the water was so calm. No camera, of course. #Maine

Visited southern Maine today: York, Wells, Kennebunkport. So many people. Felt like Massachusetts. No offense to MA and southern Maine, but I’m happier living away from it all. Super delicious dinner in Portland, though!

Toe, for no good reason, suddenly swelled up and started to hurt like a Sonuvabitch while I was doing my communist community meal work. Unsympathethetic hubs says “they” don’t do anything for toes: I gotta tuff it out. If I were Jeff Bezos, would peeple care about my toe?

My Aussie died last July. He was only 6. Spleen cancer. We had no idea until a day before we had to put him down. Pix of him as a puppy don’t really bother me, but shots of grownup Jasper break my heart. Sweetest dawg evah.

I don’t understand why my Discover feed is 90% food porn and gloomy politics. I know the world is a shit show. I’m glad you all can cook, but really, many of us can. I would like more dog pics, please. The guy who does bird pics is welcome to continue too.

You know all those cool Mars novels about terraforming, like Green Mars, etc?You can do that in your yard. Plant native shit. Don’t spray. Weed by hand. Scoop beetles into soapy water. You may find you have an interesting yard and less time to watch TV, but in the evening you can watch bumble bees.

Started watching Queers with Daniel Craig. Had to stop after 45 minutes, because of the 24x7 smoking and drinking. Not to be all church lady, but yuck. Will try to finish it tonight.
