When we moved into our old home 23 yrs ago, it was barren much like the new home we are moving into (sans the fucking gravel); I have a lot of work to do to make it lovely. We are excited for this adventure. The new 'hood seems more suitable... Lots of "❤️ immigrants" and pride flags waving here.

I hate Happy Mother's Day. I'm glad there's a movement to acknowledge all the problematic issues around mothering and lacking... but there is a lived reality that it just sucks. My mother was a horrible person, I have loved mothering & it is still hard. 💕 & 🫂 today, you are not alone.
