Berries, veggies from California Central Valley are often taking up more space than Canadian produce. I waited a few months to get non-USA celery. Having year round growing conditions and our apparent need for "fresh" helps that a lot methinks.

Oh, and btw, did the Rideau from Ottawa to Smith's Falls many years ago ( think 50's-60's) in a family friend's little cruiser.. awesome!

Awesome photo..there was a 4 hour video about tripping the Rideau several years ago...I thought an NFB film, bit the AI tells me it is TVO or YouTube. .worth the watch if you can find it.
