We lost a giant this week with the passing of Kyoko Oda. Born at the Tule Lake concentration camp in 1945, Kyoko dedicated her life to service as a teacher and principal, president of the SFVJACC, and president of the Tuna Canyon Detention Station Coalition

Manzanar Committee is seeking volunteers for the 57th Annual Manzanar Pilgrimage on Saturday April 25th.

Volunteers are needed to support passing out water, directing parking, and setting up tents and chairs. All are welcome and no experience necessary.

The Manzanar Committee mourns the loss of Art Hansen, Emeritus Professor of History and Asian American Studies at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF). He authored numerous books, was a keynote speaker at annual pilgrimages and was honored with the Sue Kunitomi Embrery Legacy Award in 2014.

1) Stop utilities from baking the money they spend on political influence into rates;

2) Establish new transparency reforms to ensure they follow the law;

3.) Mandate penalties if they break the rules.
