I'm not old enough to have seen it myself, but up to the 70's, there was a train station in my hometown. I've spent 14 years driving 30 minutes to work and I would've gladly jumped on a train, if we still had a passenger train here... Building everything around owning a car is not doing us any good.

Ukraine belongs to Ukraine... You want the war to end? All Russia has to do is leave, the end! They want the land and the ressources, Russia signed a treaty saying they'd respect the border and sovereignty of Ukraine. Just like most treaties, they broke it.
