It's so funny that the word CREATIVITY literally has the word "create" in it. You know, as in actually MAKING something. XD Like... why don't AI bros understand that creativity is about the PROCESS of creating, not just having an "idea"???

so, if y’all haven’t already heard, tapas is shutting down in march 2027. with this, i have removed all links to tapas from my website.

the shutdown of tapas will cause many comics to become lost media. back up any comics you own on there by any means. help preserve them.

I sometimes look back on my old work romantically, as if I lost something on my journey as an artist.

A particularly infuriating aspect of this A.I. bullshit is that nobody seems to remember that we all got along just fine without it for centuries. How are we all suddenly incapable of reading and understanding written words? Of creating art? Of telling stories? It’s madness.

Don’t know who wrote this — it was posted on Instagram by “Warpaint Journal” in April 2025 — but it’s making the rounds today and is pretty great. I dream of this too ❤️

Most people don't dream of being fancy-rich.
I dream of being rich enough to say, "Treat's on me," without thinking twice. Rich enough to have a home that feels like a hug, a fridge stocked like a five-year-old with adult money, and a tray of chocolates waiting for someone to grab. Rich enough to quietly help a friend before they even have to ask. To send a care package when someone's too tired to reach out. To buy all the pencils from a kid on the street so they can go home early. For me, the real money dream isn't about luxury - it's about having enough to give, enough to comfort, enough to turn ordinary moments into something extraordinary.

it seems neocities is back for me (and hopefully everyone in southeast asia).

i’ll be moving my website back to neocities in a bit. after that is done, the nekoweb page will redirect to neocities.

also, i will be moving a few things around, so all existing links to the short stories will break.

Marble_1 @marbledot1.bsky.social · Aug 4

from the looks of it my website (and all of neocities outside of the main site) is currently inaccessible to everyone in southeast asia, including me.

for a temporary workaround use a vpn, like the one built into firefox.

if the issue persists i may look into switching away from neocities.
