It will not. Russia will play the nuclear card I think. They will throw the gauntlet down. And then what? Their missile and drone manufacturing capacity dwarfs Nato right now. They do not look like capitulating. It is madness for sure. It seems to be spinning out of control.

I honestly think war on Europe is increasingly likely at this point absent some other form of intervention (ie China). The Russian leadership class seems more extreme than Putin.

For sure. But it will be a huge mess. Russia will absolutely lose a good chunk of their air force in the process. And you always have to worry it may escalate.
