#Juneteenth is a reminder that Black liberation, civil rights, and workers' rights have always been connected. The freedoms won by those who came before us weren't guaranteed then and aren't guaranteed now. Each generation has a responsibility to defend and expand them.

I have worked in places people said would never be union towns. I never found that very persuasive. People want respect. People want healthcare. People want to be able to stay housed and raise their families. Sounds like union territory to me.
