thank you!

yeah a monthly payment with no tie-in is okay. Thanks for this will investigate!

this sounds like exactly what I'm looking for! only thing is, having had a look just now it seems like you still get into a contract that costs per month, looks like they might have (in the UK anyway?) phased out PAYG ones?

Just to clarify, I know having a second number/sim on my phone is possible and have investigated etc, what I'm really asking is if there's a way to do it with minimal cost/faff.
September 18, 2026 at 1:45 PM
yeah this is more like what I want, but I have no idea tbh

I don't want to have to pay for it monthly like a contract though tbh, I'd rather tag it onto my existing one somehow or have it PAYG
September 18, 2026 at 1:43 PM
I forgot to say, I don't want to have to start a contract for the second sim - maybe a one off PAYG thing in case I need to text/call out occasionally from it

number that was virtual, can you set rules for it so that you don't have to faff between that one and your regular number? I just want people to be able to call me if they need to, but I also need to make sure that's very limited etc and I can switch it off when I need to.

I don't know what that is and I'm guessing it's good that I don't lol

Also just seems so overbearing generally, like why the hell are you het up about him missing a social event, not even something important like an exam 🫠 not that that's the point but her worry in this instance is a complete non-issue. Teenager sleeps in? CALL THE COPS!

It's not even just parents, people do it with their partner and I know they think it's cute or for safety but mostly that's surely nonsense. What can you actually gain by watching someone's (phone) move on a map? It just comes off a bit controlling and weird to be honest.

I played Cyberpunk for a bit but couldn't really get into it. Wonder if I need to go back to it at some point.

You're just building your own cages here, why do this.

there are quite a lot of people like her, I fear.

Likewise don't make an enemy of people who write books or you might end up in one in a different way 😂

I made a CD for one once and the sound distorted so weirdly that I realised I'd actually just created my own trapped-in-a-tin-can sonic hellscape.

Assuming you've done Skyrim...?
