It turns out that with enough rx steroid meds (a shot in his rear and a steroid dose pack) Spencer is one of those people who will develop medicine-induced hiccups.
He's finally stopped. He hiccupped from 3am to about 8pm today.

I'm trying to read "The Color Purple" and it's just making me sad.
Oh, and I fed my sourdough...I hadn't had a chance to sit the lid on it---
And a FLY FLEW INTO MY JAR AND LANDED ON THE SOURDOUGH AND I FREAKED OUT.
I scooped the top layer off but I'm still just horrified.

I was trying to explain to Spencer my complicated feelings about being an aunt.
I didn't have one until my 30s when 23 and Me DNA tests found my mom's half sister.
So, I'm a wild aunty. I was not aunt-ed to and I have no children of my own.
I'm just trying to love on these kids anyway I can. ❤️

I lead a perfect life with a hilarious man who can handle anything------ including me.
But he's so precious and funny about falling asleep at like, 9:15pm.... every night. And I'm a horrible night owl who terrorizes him.

I wish I had the confidence and "sense of self" I have now, at 40.... that I needed at age 20. I could've run the world. ...Zero identity issues, complete self-assurance that I can figure ANYTHING out.

A super fun thing about a bad poison ivy rash (for the first time, truly) is how you want to inspect it. And it slowly arrives. And it's miserable, but if you coat enough cortisone cream on it... you're OK. But it looks all white and gross.

A super fun thing about a bad poison ivy rash (for the first time, truly) is how you want to inspect it. And it slowly arrives. And it's miserable, but if you coat enough cortisone cream on it... you're OK. But it looks all white and gross.
