This paper looks amazing! Probably a very very naive question - but why is a polyA polymerase specific for mRNAs encoding secreted proteins? Are these mRNAs particularly prone to deadenylation?

Cool review - very nicely written!!- Fits well with our random thoughts on the connections between RBPs and the glycolysis/ respiration metabolic transition in yeast.
Very proud of our first peer-reviewed paper from the lab: a review on the multifaceted role of RNA-binding proteins in the metabolic control of stem cells. Check it out! This is a truly amazing effort by my PhD student Ellie Koletsou @mpiage.bsky.social #proudPI

Anyone fancy doing a phd on oxidative modification of mRNA?
Pari is just starting her lab and she’s dedicated, intelligent and lovely to work with- honest!!

Great idea! - also could be adapted for purifying the target RNA with much less background
We designed MS2 and PP7 binding coat proteins that are degraded in cells except when bound by their hairpin RNAs.

Wow - how cool is this!!!
Mix two motors of opposite polarity with microtubules and they will partition space !
Microtubules will get organized in polar and active barriers, sorting the two motors in separated domains, leading to the emergence of a new type of patterns.
