"Posting is how I remove bothersome thoughts from my head and put them in other people’s"
Welcome to the new normal.

Widespread fires across the UK, running out of fresh water and next - food shortages.

In the meantime Labour are going to drill for more oil to bring about societal collapse just that little quicker.

That quiet retirement your saving for isn't going to happen.

There's no avoiding the conclusion, however much dust the UK government throws into the air. By providing weapons, rhetorical and diplomatic support to the Israeli government as it has committed genocide in #Gaza, Keir Starmer and his ministers *are* complicit in this great crime.

Not only would this criminalise the use of Gaelic in Scottish elections, it would threaten to jail anyone who uses British Sign Language in a campaign video.

At their first whiff of power Reform's priority is to make our democracy less accessible & threaten their political opponents.

"Analysis suggested that on just 27% of the vote, Reform UK would win 48% of the seats at the next election.

And this will be for one reason: our electoral system.

There is no way Reform UK could, on current trends, win a general election under proportional representation."

Keir Starmer's intention to restrict peaceful protest even further is punishment for crimes the great majority of protestors hate and reject. By suggesting that support for Palestinians is an attack on British Jews, he conflates British Jews with the state of Israel, which is wrong and dangerous.

1. Every year, large areas of gorse in Dartmoor and Exmoor national parks are deliberately burnt. It’s an appalling act of vandalism, killing wildlife, preventing regeneration of crucial habitats, releasing toxic smoke and carbon. This thread is about why it’s happening. Pic from this weekend. 1/7

In June 1982, Israel invaded Lebanon, butchering 25,000 people, mostly civilians, bombing 13 hospitals.

Ronald Dahl wrote about it in 1983, condemning Israel’s Nazi tactics & racist savagery.

43 years later, the slaughter is being ramped up, the terrorists emboldened by US-backed impunity.

I don't know why this is so hard for some people to grasp. If we extend our use of fossil gas, rather than going all-out for grid batteries, heat pumps and induction hobs, we extend our dependence on *foreign* sources of gas, regardless of whether we also use the UK's last remaining reserves. 🧵

to receive half of the current rate whilst cost of living rises. Loss of £200+ a month.

If you lose your benefit and reapply, you get the lower rate.

Thousands will be pushed into poverty.
