Orange blossoms a few thumb sized oranges lemon lime are going gang busters and the mandarin is flowering. Figs are pushing through as are the macadamias. Banana and pomegranate are scooting along passion fruit has responded to the warmth and all my seedling trays are getting ready. I do love spring

My morning contemplation Why has the world swung so far to the right. In my 20s and 30s I was a conservative based on economic management and the fact that governments stayed out of my private life. That view hasn't changed the world however seems to have pushed me towards being a raving leftist.

Another beautiful day at Brandy Hill. Jobs this morning spray bindii in the paddock and trim the last 100 metres of hedge. Oh and finish off my veggie patch enclosure to stop possums and parrots eating my produce. Might be hot enough for a swim

65 years old 1 overnight stay in hospital in the past 51 years for very minor surgery but they keep you cause of the anaesthetic apparently. Many trips to A&E due to stupidity. Never been CT or MRI scanned. Not sure how much longer this lack of use of the free Australian health system will last

What i like about Australia. We just had an election and both leaders were magnanimous and respectful of their opponent. No courts no claims of fraudulent elections no arseholes
