I have begrudging respect for normie podcasts like Slate Political Gabfest & Pod Save America for playing their peppy theme songs no matter how bleak the news. A comet could destroy Michigan and they'd still blast the mood equivalent of The Bar-Kays' "Soul Finger"

I have an "articulated" wisdom tooth—meaning it popped through the gum—and a missing tooth, and dentists claim I can use the wisdom tooth like a spare tire if they shift the intact molar into the gap and the wisdom where the moved tooth sat. Intrigued, but I get nervous when dentists seem excited.

I'll agree dogs are smarter than cats, but what an indictment of how we measure and misvalue intelligence that "eats itself to death if let alone with food" and "tries to kill every small mammal it sees after years of scolding” are traits that net zero deductions for the pooches!

It's been a soft release, but they got a streamlined 3-12 month version of the Peace Corps out now. Anyone wallowing in indecision or hankering for adventure should do it. Were I not married and with cat I'd be on that plane to Kyrgyzstan so fast. Nepal, Dominica, Botswana...👍
