A lot of user with early access park their handle while waiting for a social network to take off so the handle doesn't get nicked. Common practice and zero indication of network growth. Just white noise.

That's a definite shortcoming and, since PDS migration is part of the blueprint, should have been inbuilt as a default.

Totally happy about this. I always felt very uncomfortable with the European only approach. If we are going to survive as social environment cross pollination is key and that should include the amazing Bluesky team. 🍁

Additional question: it would be nice is we could "embed" streams in our posts without having to leave the app. Like we already can with external media like YouTube, Vimeo, SoundCloud. Is this something being considered?

So in future will WSocial streams will show up in the Streamplace app to those not using other PSD but not Wsocial?

A real shame. Still think they should have built a proprietary app from scratch but this would have meant spending more money and resources on what was already at hand via open source.

I am not against any of this. I object about WSocial predatory practices, whitewashing once again, making everything proprietary and not giving access unless you signed onto their platform.

Not stolen. It's open source, thanks to the generosity of its US based programmers. The issue is, once again, is the lack of transparency of WSocial who is misleading its users by telling them this is all made in Europe.
