I'm not arguing a hypothetical, I'm arguing that their best backup goaltender is a guy who is older than I am who was deemed unplayable by 31 other teams. This is a problem that should absolutely be addressed. Anything else is blowing smoke up people's ass.

Nobody is arguing that Merilainen was better than Reimer
He's a patchwork solution to an underlying problem that has been apparent since the start of the season and that the team will inevitably have to address anyways
That it's a problem still is a condemnation of their inaction and/or inability
