I just want to share that I’ve been following your account for ages and I’m so inspired by the variety of textile artists I see here. I often look them up and learn more. Textile art is my jam. Thank you so much for your work here.

& a storefront where less-than-perfect veg is sold very inexpensively with profits feeding food security initiatives. They also do a gleaning program to harvest fruit that people wouldn’t otherwise use and they take food from grocery stores with small imperfections that would otherwise go to waste.

This needs to be a model for all communities in Canada. There are some wonderful initiatives in my community (to be fair, our climate allows year-round growing). The community garden is associated with the food bank, meals on wheels for seniors, disaster relief meals…

Careful. You might just be encouraging them to ban all of those, too. There’s a eugenic mindset at play under all of this. But, agreed, misogyny is no small part of their motivation.
