Just downloaded MapQuest. Only one still calling Gulf of Mexico, Gulf of Mexico. And will continue to call Lake Ontario Lake Ontario. We’ll see if Apple bends the knee on that one as they have re Gulf. Google is fully bent, in both meanings of the term.

I agree that the Justice Department is now historically corrupt. BUT..I’m tired of people piously saying that the Department hasn’t been corrupt in the past.How about the Palmer Raids, Hoover and Jim Mitchell, and the murder of Fred Hampton. Now may be worse but it’s not as if the past was so great!

Please support the Forest Service from the administration efforts to totally undermine it. Many companies have spoken out. One that has not done so is Merrell. I’ve worn their shoes for years. Unless they speak up, I’m no longer going to buy from them. I’ve written to them. Hope you will as well.

I am reminded of the free-for-all in Russia after the Soviet Union fell. The oligarchs took over and now run the country, Chief among them Putin. Looks like we’re going down that road. We should always ask ourselves “who benefits?” All you need do is look at honored attendees at Inauguration.

Why I dislike the NYT. Listened to The Daily, re demolition of the East Wing and construction of the Ballroom. Reporters were surprised that people were so upset. Hello? And they failed to mention that prior changes were only made after approval of relevant commissions and authorized by Congress.

The Nation magazine was targeted recently by the Trump regime. The Nation is doing something right. I’ve subscribed for decades. Except…They seem to have entirely stopped printing letters to the editor. It had moved to obscurity in the magazine. Now the feature is gone entirely. What’s up with that?
