For sure, and if they are marginalized it is within the human race. A poor street urchin or farmer is common, or just some average villager.
I just want less human glazing in stories. More of the fantastical the story and worlds should be about.

That sounds like what needs to happen. Writers allowing non-humans to have the same morals as humans, but acted on in ways that are different.
It is even worse when humans caused the problem. Haven’t fixed it in forever or let it get worse and other other races wait for a chosen being to fix it.

And they still write humans, at least the younger MC ones as right to be upset. It is even more annoying when the MC if some 13-16 year old human.

They work in decades at most not 100s of years. And part of this is because older races in fantasy are equated to irl boomers and older.
