imo a lot of this is downstream of white collar crime being ostensibly legalized through the dismantling of the regulatory state so the perception that corporations and their workers aren’t bound by the law leads to deriving catharsis from examples of them not being protected by the law

There's a really awful line of thought that connects the way firms dilute and defray responsibility by promoting hoards of young B-schoolers to VP, and those same VPs being used as literal sacrificial pawns. Agreed: bad sign.

It is simply incredible to me that no one wants to learn from this history. Biden DID NOT do any Sister Souljahing. He largely embraced the protesters, and cast Trump and white supremacy as the real threats to civil order. That worked!
