Donald Trump's mind holds a great answer. He has been the poster child for immorality: rape, murder, greed, deceit, lawlessness and has achieved the heights of wealth, power, sex, and fame. Was he ever happy? I doubt his capacity for self reflection, but I wonder if he lived half as happy as I do.

How many Pearl Harbor-type sneak attacks has the United States carried out now? Is anyone counting?

Jeffrey Epstein died on August 10th. In the Epstein files, there is what appears to be a draft DOJ press release announcing his death that is dated August 9th.

(It’s here: www.justice.gov/epstein/file...)
The release on Saturday, August 10th appears to have two differences. The date, and the addition of “of an apparent suicide” www.justice.gov/usao-sdny/pr...

I hereby repeal the corollary to Godwin's Law. I declare that any netizen who has previously compared Trump to Adolf Hitler has officially, retroactively won their argument.

Donald Trump is literally insane. Don't know if it is Narcissistic Personality Disorder, Antisocial Personality Disorder, Delusional Disorder or all 3, but the man is sick. The people around him using him for their own goals, some for ego, some for hate, and some for greed, are evil beyond words.

For anyone hoping that events in Minnesota would have any impact on Congress, here are thoughts and prayers from permanent coward PA-01 Representative Brian Fitzpatrick: "We must all ... lower the temperature of our rhetoric, reject and condemn violence". Words, no action. Worthless sycophant.

If we wind up having the 2026 midterm elections and if they wind up being a blue wave, I would like every incumbent congressional Democrat to stop and reflect that you were the ones who sucked so badly that America elected Donald Trump twice. Open your ears and listen, for all our sakes.

From today's story from the Associated Press: "Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered the USS Gerald R. Ford..."

Regardless of where the carrier is going (Venezuela) or why (God only knows), stop for a moment to reflect on how fucking insane just the beginning part of that sentence is.

As a card carrying member of the "left", may I ask: can we all please just not give a f--- about Syndey Sweeney? Aren't there more real and more pressing problems we need to channel our efforts against?

Funny that the President who believes he can ignore courts, cross out the 14th amendment with a Sharpie, and declassify things just by thinking about it after the fact suddenly feels he needs someone's impossible-to-get permission in order to release anything having to do with Jeffrey Epstein.

I just typed "patients" to refer to my capacity to accept difficulty and delay. It made me wonder: how much of what I attribute to ignorance in the world is really thoughtlessness and carelessness?

Fox News using the Iberian power outage to imply that solar power is bad, when the true cause seems to have been rare atmospheric effects causing instability in the transmission lines.

Fox News employees: find a better job, please.

If we hope that Red America will wake up when they experience the hardships that are coming, wouldn't today be a good day for Democrats to abandon identity politics and embrace a populist, anti-corruption agenda?

"The other side is worse" is an awful excuse for anything and only leads to division and a race to bottom, ethically speaking. Just because R's are corrupt doesn't give us a right to be corrupt as long as we are arguably "less so". Biden used his power for himself. If Trump did it we'd be incensed.

New social media site, new strategy. If you post snark, even if I agree with the sentiment, I'm muting you. This excludes @markhamillofficial.bsky.social, who gets a pass on all things.
