If your first introduction to #mdzs was The Untamed, did you guess about the golden core as it was happening, before the reveal? I felt it was signposted way too clearly in the drama but I'd read the book and watched the donghua first so I already knew.

Another instant favourite is "7 Days in Kinktown" by @eclairatee.bsky.social (archiveofourown.org/works/80652926). Like so many fantastic BDSM fics, it's about angst, and feelings, and care, and found family. Loved every word and will reread on hard rotation!
Great news! WWX is not dead! There has been a total bumper crop of new and wonderful #wangxian #mdzs fics lately, thanks in part to Gotcha Against ICE (kudos to @fereael.bsky.social!). So many favourite authors bringing us delicious fodder, I am busy adding to my bookmarks like a greedy hamster!

Great news! WWX is not dead! There has been a total bumper crop of new and wonderful #wangxian #mdzs fics lately, thanks in part to Gotcha Against ICE (kudos to @fereael.bsky.social!). So many favourite authors bringing us delicious fodder, I am busy adding to my bookmarks like a greedy hamster!

Just finished reading this and must shout from the rooftops! An incredible fic, reimagining Wangxian's canon miscommunication in a delightful exes to lovers scenario. I was so hooked I hid in the toilet at work to keep reading! An instant favourite.
@fereael.bsky.social: you asked for classic Wangxian fic recs in the other place (X). I don't have a fandom acct there, so here is my list. I tried to trim it down but it didn't want to. 🙈This is not the same as my faves list but there is of course some overlap. 😅

Loved this new fic by KizuKatana! Now I have a question for #wangxian loremasters. Can anyone rec any fics where LWJ is spurred into action bc he is in danger of losing WWX? There are amazing ones where reverse is true. They wd have to be aus bc of canon comphet. @fereael.bsky.social, help!
I listened to @katchatorie.bsky.social's exquisite podfic of the wonderfully hot Follow Me fic by @athena-crikey.bsky.social, and then I went to watch 10Dance, the film that partly inspired the plot. What can I say? The film was good but the fic was so much better.

When an author you love is posting a fic in instalments, do I read it as it comes out? Do I wait and read the whole thing as a glorious feast?! Or, you know what, I have no patience, I'll read it as it comes out and then listen to the podfic to fill in all the tasty stuff I missed out on! 🧠

I read a fic and I want to scream from the rooftops about it - thank you @auntieiroh.bsky.social and @raitalarai.bsky.social for leading me to it via podfic. I usually steer clear of wips and I find a/b/o hit and miss, but this one is like a red-hot poker.

Just finished this podfic and omg, what a truly epic story and what a magnificent podfic! A perfect fic for me is when an author does their own world-building and at the same time leaves enough breadcrumba leading to canon for us to gorge ourselves on. This is one of them, a total stunner!

Just finished this podfic and omg, what a truly epic story and what a magnificent podfic! A perfect fic for me is when an author does their own world-building and at the same time leaves enough breadcrumba leading to canon for us to gorge ourselves on. This is one of them, a total stunner!
