I really should play through Holy Magic Century. I stumbled around the beginning of Quest 64, Holy Magic Century, and Eltale Monsters to check out the regional differences, was charmed by the battle mechanics and how smooth the game felt and then proceeded to never touch any version again.

It isn't an objectively good game. I think how low effort the localisation is is kind of funny along with a few neat little details. I still need to play Miracle World along with every other Sega Master System game. It's a requirement of being British and into games of the video variety, I think.

I played Yo-Kai Watch 1 for two hours then played that Alex Kid game that is actually just a very low effort localisation of an Anmitsu Hime game because I saw it on TCRF years ago and it has been stuck in the back of brain.

I misspelt colour in the alt text I'm a fucking idiot.

BTW here is a reference sheet for them, ignore the fact that the above image does not follow the reference. I think referring to T.E. Host as T.E. Host is kind of clunky, I've been throwing around Poser Host but IDK, do you have any nickname ideas for them?

The funny thing is I barely remember the second dream I literally just had, except for the fact it was my Bluesky that got hacked and that it was just T.E. Host this time. Yeah "J.G." and T.E. Host are not the same person, I don't know how I knew this in my dream but I did.

The only video on their channel was a 17 year old "what if Mario was evil?" animation of NSMBW specifically, I woke up before I could watch it.

-they did not mean Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, they meant Mario and Sonic as individual series. The description then called me out directly by saying that I won't be missed, misgendering me, and calling me whipped(????).

-along with a mess of paragraphs that I think was a cypher. I went back and found a link to a different channel called TotallyExistingHost. Their PFP was of them mid laugh. The description of their channel claimed that they were one of few Mario and Sonic fans-

So, in the first dream, I tried to log into my YouTube, only to be met with a screen telling me that it had been seized by one "J.G." and I had to guess THEIR birthday to get my account back. I checked my channel only to find a bunch of links to Patreon and Discord on all of my videos-

Also SMB1-3 NES were taken down but not World for some reason, alright.

Thankfully, the majority of games still have their downloads avaliable so I would really recommend going and downloading as much as you can while we still can.

I know people do a media thread, I might do that. I really want to go through all these games, and meet on their terms, I sped through EarthBound, as in I had 4X speed on most of the playthrough. So I guess it feels kind of wrong? to say I like the series at all? If that makes sense.

Who starts an RPG series that follows a connected story with the second game? I really don't think the target audience for 2 HD would go out of their way to play a 3DS game because at that point, just play all three games on the 3DS, it'd be less jarring.

I really should play all of the Yo-Kai Watch and Layton games up to the 3DS. I refuse to let Level 5 using Gen AI be the first thought about Layton and YKW2 in my mind.

Also why is 2 HD getting translated and released outside of Japan before 1 for Switch??

I wouldn't really say I'm a Professor Layton fan, played the first game for like 6 minutes some years ago and never really got into the series, and I somehow completely missed what happened (what's happening?) with New World of Steam. And yet it still stings.

-for the first time in years, I played the first game as a kid, never finished it but I enjoyed it, I watched the original anime too, also enjoyed it. But it's been a while since I had any big emotional investment in this series, yet it still stings.

Man.

If you're interested in Yo-Kai Watch and want to get into it or you're an existing fan, please do not buy 2 HD. In fact, don't buy anything new Level 5 puts out, like the new Professor Layton.

I first though of this series when looking through Kiosk Demos-
