Yesterday, representatives from Mayflower's Governing Boards, ministries, and small groups gathered to greet visitors and answer questions at the annual Sign Me Up Sunday. The room was packed with new and familiar faces excited about ways to participate. Mayflower looks forward to the year ahead.

Women have often been pushed to the margins of the church, but not at Mayflower. Women lead here as clergy, liturgists, moderators, and board chairs. If you left over gender discrimination, we want you to help lead, not just take a seat. Morning Prayer at 8:30am and Morning Worship at 10:15am.

Mayflower held its first confirmation class this week. All ages and stages shared pizza before the first of several sessions. One exercise asked participants to describe God in their own words: peaceful, kind, loving, brave, creative. A strikingly full picture.

Sunday was Faith Formation Sunday at Mayflower. Incoming third graders received Bibles from their church family, Rev. Dr. Lori Walke preached on Jesus walking on water, and wristbands went around as a reminder that no one carries fear alone here.

Men's Choir Sunday, twenty-two years running. Founded by David Lintner, now directed by Clint Williams, the choir gathers each year to give its time and talent for the good of the whole. A reminder of the beauty and wonder in the world. We are grateful for every voice.
