The Sally Hemings-Thomas Jefferson Co-Memorial appears, from time to time, on Locust St. between 10th + 11th – created by placing a pair of woman’s shoes/sandals next to this bronze statue of the 3rd President of the U.S., who fathered four children with Ms. Hemings (1773-1835)–while enslaving her.
