I don't like the #USOpen policy of letting fans keep balls hit into stands. The integrity of 6 new balls lasting 9 games (7 after warm-up) is important. Better to have an exchange where an usher gives the fan a certificate to pick up a ball at a designated location after they return the game ball.

For everyone about to moan about the start time of the second match in the Ashe evening session:
What are they supposed to do?
There was 9.5 hours of tennis played. It started at noon. Two things will *never* happen on a quarterfinal day: moving a match to Armstrong and *one ticket for all 4 matches

Shadiest clock reset since the 1972 USSR vs USA Gold Medal basketball game in Munich. That was absolute robbery in Ann Arbor. Doesn't do a lot to help the image of the game right now, either.

I love the symmetry of the #14 men's and women's seeds at the #USOpen 🎾both being the Americans that are sort of sneaking up in the draw and into the consciousness of fans. For weekly tennis viewers, we've known all along, so it's nice to see both Iva Jovic and Learner Tien gain broader appeal.

Really? This is 2019 and 2021
We could have #3 vs. #10 (live rankings) in the men's championship. That should never be a surprise. This sport is deep. Both men's and women's tour. All that some players outside the top 100 need is opportunity

WBD moron: We need an "event notification" button to generate alerts that people turn off immediately because they're so intrusive. What should the toggle button look like?
WBD idiot: How about identical to the standard volume control button, in both design & location?
Moron: DONE and DONE!

Would love to see all accidental overdoses investigated the way Matthew Perry's was. Or Mac Miller. Or the Angels pitcher--I won't say his name because thousands of people die of the same cause and no one does a damn thing.

I was really looking forward to another Corentin Moutet Experience concert on Simonne-Mathieu later this week, but one can understand that the band is exhausted after jamming their way through five sets

For the CBS boycott proclaimers, here is your mission:
These are ALL the channels you're now vowing never to watch again (plus the score of owned & operated CBS local affiliates)
Hopefully you accomplish more than your BlueSky post on this mission. I have some faith in a few of you.

#BoycottReceiptsSky would break this place FOR GOOD
It has become a repository for hollow, performative, boring and actionless boycotts. The #1 reason I'm less active here.
The Amazon ones kill me. This runs on AWS!

People aren't surprised, are they?
If the Cavs lose, it's because James Harden is just sort of standing around in no-man's land on defense. He just half stepped to Brunson and left Bridges wide open in the strongside corner one pass away.
Just awful, nothing defense.
