Northumberland Street, Newcastle, the main shopping street and once The Gt North Road the main thoroughfare to all points North and South. The 6, 5 metre tall, lighting columns with tapestry design, replicate the wooden poles on the Pilgrims route to St Marys Chapel in Jesu de Munde (Jesmond).

The oldest (existing) Marks and Spencer penny bazaar. Grainger Market, Newcastle Upon Tyne.There was an older one in Leeds market but it is no longer open.

First image 1915? second image taken today; "Carliol Croft Tower/ Plummer Tower. Newcastle upon Tyne.- Also Cutlers' Tower, having been used by that company, now extinct. In 1742, it was granted to the fraternity of Masons.

The changing face of Newcastle upon Tyne city centre, New Bridge Street West and Pilgrim Street, all the buildings in the first shot are gone and have been replaced by the new HMRC offices in the second shot.

Greys monument on a sunny day in 2021 - Grey's Monument is a Grade I-listed monument in the centre of Newcastle Upon Tyne . It was built in 1838 in recognition of Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey, Prime Minister of theUK 1830 to 1834. In particular, it celebrates his Great Reform Act 1832.

Emerson Chambers built 1903 Blackett Street, Newcastle upon Tyne.Designed by Simpson, Lawson&Rayne - built as a high-end restaurant, with resident orchestra, also contained a number of shops and offices. The clock on the roof installed by William Potts 1904,mechanised 1965. Building Grade II* listed
