Standing in an open field you can feel so alone, but so exposed.

It was fun following the footsteps of another hiker who is a bit ahead.

That feeling changed when their tracks suddenly stopped at the tree line...

Saw this little (not really that little) creature on a morning walk. Reminded me of an old horror film with giant mosquitoes.

There should be more insect horror stories/movies.

I have always loved stories by a campfire. Especially when I was a kid.
It really sets the scene for hearing scary tales, and it always felt like the last thing protecting me from that noise I heard just beyond the light.

That definitely can look like Vermont but being across the lake from that beautiful state, it doesn't do it justice

The best feeling is sitting on a rock looking at the waters....the worst feeling is when you feel you aren't alone while sitting there.
