"Steady the Sword"

Cover art for my Dishonored au where a High Chaos Corvo comes into possession of the Twin-Bladed Knife. The story takes Corvo to Tyvia, then to Morley, where he finds out the Knife of Dunwall has been living as Wyman's bodyguard. Shenanigans and a terrorist attack ensue.
illustration by laur-rants, 2026. depicts Corvo Attano from Dishonored in high contrast light that hides his face. His left hand is in shadow and his Outsider's Mark is burning with magic; in his right hand is the Twin-Bladed Knife, covered in lines of blood. Around him is smoke and light from a recent use of the power Blink. He is turning his body and face away from the viewer in a dynamic pose.

Uhm yes impressed bc even tho things aren't perfect I've 1: got a house 2: got a yard 3: have a dachshund, a greyhound, AND a borzoi 4: have illustrated not one but 2 childrens books and 5: somehow snagged the most beautiful man I've ever seen or met and he's aging like fine wine.

Black and white film photo of Mat Marrash, wearing sunglasses and a shirt that says "get a frickin' tripod" 2017 portrait of Mat Marrash, done by Tariq Tarey. He is wearing a black shirt on a black background, looking to the left in a third portrait pose. Around his neck is a loop with a viewfinder attached to it, used by large format photographers to check the sharpness of the ground glass of their cameras, typically of 4x5, 8x10, or 16x20 sizes. 2025 portrait of Mat Marrash in the Columbus Museum of Art, done by Tariq Tarey. A batch of three bust adoptables for sale! The first is a pale pink tiefling whose hair is pulled back into a heart-shaped bun. Her horns are broken off at the ends and brighter pink cracks are visible where the ends broke off. She wears a dress of black lace and blue-gray. The second is a vampire/elf/half-elf (I never know what to put for the humanoids with pointy ears because it's so subjective to the desires of the buyer LMFAO!!) and a very pouty face. His eyes are blue, his hair is messy and black, and his outfit is decorated with silver snowflakes and other embroidery. The third is a pale tiefling with pink and ashy blue accents on his skin. He's broad-shouldered and has a silly little lopsided smile. His blue-gray hair is shorter in the front and longer in the back, and his outfit is primarily green, blue-black, and silver.

what can i say, im back on my bullshit
Illustration by laur-rants, 2026. Corvo Attano is talking to Daud, circa Dishonored 2. Corvo's hands are on his hips and he's looking down. He says aloud "So, are we going to F this out, or what?" Daud squints at him,m visibly confused. "... Why are you censoring the word 'fight'?" Corvo puts his hands together and looks up away and to the right. "...Thats not the word I was thinking of..." Daud's very intelligent reply is "...hm."

R A V E N O U S
illsutration by laur-rants, 2026. stylized render of Samus Aran from Metroid Ravenous, where she is in a cave, her form silhouetted against a brighter background. In her right hand, which usually is encased in an arm cannon, is now brightly lit with green, flame-like energy. Her pose is hunched, the light of her suit a bright red, and it appears as if she is about to pounce on an unsuspecting victim.

Underrated Daud quote: People like us burn hot, then burn up.

It's just?? So good? I wish Madsen had a chance to speak it aloud. Man. It says a lot with so little. Perfect execution, perfectly in character.

classic meme image of sabrina from the movie where she is given multiple stacks of pancakes and cannot choose which one to start eating first. The pancakes have the labels of "Playing Dishonored", "Writing Dishonored" "Dishonored DMs" "Drawing Dishonored", "Reading Dishonored fanfic" "Thinking about Dishonored" and finally, "RATS"

meme that uses chris pratt from his time in parks and rec, where he has a very surprised/excited face. The bottom image is of a borzoi with an excited/happy look on its face, mouth open. Is there any feeling better than when a species outside your own chooses you as their warm body? As their safe space? Gives you their trust as they rest? We do not speak the language, but some things are just universal: I love you too.
