Back from a great @worldwildlife.bsky.social trip to the Karoo for unusual mammals & birds with nearly all the targets seen well. Close views of Cheetah in Madikwe, Eastern Rock Sengi & Aardvarks, including one that one that ran like Usain Bolt!

Another tern fest at Minsmere today @rspbminsmere.bsky.social, at 1 point 5 spp in telescope view at 1 time: Little, Roseate, Arctic, Common & Sandwich not quick enough to photograph it. So will have to make do with the adult Little Gull & Arctic Tern on East Scrape, showing how small Dunlin are!

Y'day arrived Hazlewood at high tide & missed the Curlew Sand but a restless Painted Lady was good. Then to Minsmere picking up the Black Tern on E & S Scrapes, distant Temminck's + 3 Green Sands on West with 4 Little Egrets.

After the Squacco Heron at Kelling (no images) & lunch at the Reading Room cafe went to Babcock Hide at Cley for the Glossy Ibis, close Yellow Wagtail and young Avocet chicks and a Redshank chick

Caught up with the Hoopoe in Oulton Broad this morning but it was flushed by dog walkers before I could photograph it. The 2nd Summer Little Gull on South Scrape, Minsmere was more co-operative. Next to Black-headed Gulls it shows how diminutive it is; even chased off by a Little Tern at 1 point!
