I love the illustrated covers (by Marc Simonetti) on the French edition I’m reading because they actually depict a scene from the book, and I love identifying that scene while reading.

This one was a full chapter and… it’s something.

(and, tbh, l'll support anything that will give women's football more visibility, even this competition I don't particularly like)

Do I think this two competitions shouldn't exist because their main objective is to make FIFA (more) money and add matches to players that have already too many? Yes.

Am I still extremely happy and proud Arsenal won and that the Champions of Europe can be called
World Champions too? Also yes.

Alcaraz makes history. Amd he is just getting started, at 22.

Arsenal, women's team, became the winners of the first ever FIFA Women's Champions Cup, the women's equivalent to the Club World Cup from last summer.

Although I still think the Cosmere books –Stormlight Archive in particular– would benefit from an animated adaptation. Particularly with all the official art available, it is going to be very difficult to nail the look in a live-action adaptation.

I received (earlier than originally announced!) some beautiful prints of @jennydolfen.bsky.social ‘s artwork so I can display my LOTR/Critocal Role/Stormlight Archive nerdiness at home in a beautiful way
