For Draw Steel, please say hi to my Dragon Knight Fury Cyrrijox (Cinder to her friends), and the image that I absolutely had to change out for her. I only modified the wings to be charcoal grey, the rest was original :)

Day two of him in the tent and he is being so good for how confused he is about the whole thing. Photo proof of life and yes you can read the radiation sensor in it ;)

My cat Midnight loves to cuddle with me on the couch in the smallest space possible. He is very good at being cute.
A short haired black cat is very happily squished on his side between a jean-clad leg and a grey couch arm. He’s on his side and you can see his ear and if you zoom in the side of his smile. He’s very comfortable.

I feel like I should share dinner from a few days ago - no tornado but it was very very tasty :)
A beef steak is seared on a carbon steel pan, surrounded by a thin sheen of oil. The pattern of sear on the steak follows the muscle grain. It was absolutely worth it.

Car going in for inspection today and I get to find out how many other things are wrong too. Fingers crossed it’s all minor stuff.

We know about the part that got half-torn off in the tunnel debris at least. Sigh.
Image is a Toyota radiator support splash screen, basically a weirdly shaped piece of what is I swear an aluminum and tin alloy that is bent on one side and in the shadow you can see the screw still attached. It has a few other screw attachment points that oddly enough have no evidence of mounting hardware ever being near it.

I managed to get some nature snaps lately, here is a butterfly bush with a bee on it.
A fuschia butterfly bush, many of the flowers already fertilized and fading, but one clump has a bee hanging on the end.

The fall pilgrimage to Page’s starts :)
The front of Page’s Dairy Mart, a food and ice cream takeout place on Carson St in Pittsburgh. There’s a lit up ice cream cone up top and folks standing around on line and waiting for their order.

Eh, it was mixed. The enchilada sauce was good for the depth of flavor but not spicy at all, the stuffed fried chiles were decently spicy - not death, just enough to notice. Real pretty though.
A pair of large chili peppers are breaded and fried, resting in a round metallic takeout tray. They are a nice fried brown - not burnt, but not too light to be undercooked.

Also swung by Scoops in Bloomfield and asked for a two scoop cone. I had to lick off some of the melting bit before I could take a pic but… I’m full and won’t need food again for a day or two. Red Velvet and Pittsburgh Pot Holes (chocolate fudge with chocolate chunks).
A giant two scoop waffle cone with seriously a lot of ice cream in the cone. Just it’s spilling out the top, this might have been a three or four scoop somewhere else. Red Velvet on top, Pittsburgh Pot Holes on bottom.

And there was a lovely bathtub planter out front, I couldn’t help but take a picture.
On a dark pea gravel bed, against a white concrete foundation, a magenta painted bathtub with a white railing is filled with dirt and multiple plants. There are white, pink, and yellow flowers and a couple of decorative vines. It’s very lovely.

Single pic of him ON his leash or in a harness. Gah, brain. I have pics of him, just not when he was out and about like that. Anyway, here's one of the few good pics of him I did get scanned. He was such a lovely cat.

Tree fell along the road. Still there, no power. Bet it’ll be like this all night. Grr.

I also recently had a hospital scare so I feel you on both accounts. Hope they figured out what was going on and it’s fixable. Midnight says hi and is enjoying early spring warmth before the rain comes.
