I'm a long-time Caps fan and former STH. Usually at this time of year I'm getting excited for hockey season. This situation w/ Ovi plus a lot of other issues have me turning away from both the @capitals.bsky.social and the NHL. They lost their collective moral compass a long time ago.
This bizarre PR campaign to excuse Alexander Ovechkin for supporting Putin is disgusting and shameless and wholly without moral or logical merit.

I always get nervous for my flute lessons. There’s no reason - my teacher is great, supportive, and enjoyable to spend time with. I want to learn this instrument and it always goes well. So, anyway, flute lesson this morning, I’m going to go unnecessarily worry about it.

The airplane preachers have entered my nightmares. Last night I dreamt I had to go to CCD when I really wanted to go out to dinner with my family. I was pissed. Then I remembered I'm a midlife woman who left Catholicism decades ago so I can do what I want. I woke up feeling guilty.

I love attending conferences in part because I always find myself surrounded by people who are doing truly connected and meaningful work. As a former PR hack, I've never really had that professional experience and I regret that.
