Now that BRS died, this only leaves me with VVV, hmm should I join it (seems pretty tempting) OR should I follow the wisdom of TabooZapNuka who would probably say “What is the Extended Community? Myth is here to stay. Waste of time for these other groups that are just going to die soon.”

BRS seriously needs to step up their game, you can’t tell all of BRS to defend the flag when the other team has captured it 15 times in a row, you’re never going to win by over defending. BRS has better players, but skill as well doesn’t matter when you don’t have proper raid leaders either.
