Fortunately she'd finished it before I asked the barmaid to explain why my pint was so expensive!!! Otherwise she'd probably have spat it out. Even the barmaid was embarrassed, as she goes to uni in Newcastle and understands the real world.

My suggestion would be to limit political donations to the level of UK income or corporation tax paid by individuals or companies. To twist a well known phrase or saying: No representation without taxation.

My idea isn't about income. It's about the principle that if you don't contribute or have a stake in the country then you have no right have any influence.
