This is a crucial distinction! There is a difference between being anonymous and being confidential. What is taking place here is that the donors are confidential to the public, not anonymous.

Johnson ceases to be Speaker when the new Congress convenes in 2027. The first thing that takes place is the election of the Speaker. If the Dems are in the majority they will of course elect a new Speaker. The new Speaker is sworn in by the clerk. After that the Speaker swears in the other members.

If the Dems win all of the elections, Johnson would no longer be Speaker.

I think it's more of an issue of there being a one-year-old being supervised by a 10-year-old. That being said, what is accomplished by arresting this man? Bring in Child Protective Services to do a family assessment to assess overall risk, and then setup services to help this guy!
