Today is Huck’s 15th birthday! The CKD or the ?? lump around his lymph/salivary will eventually catch up w/ him, but no more poking/prodding on my li’l guy, just gonna let him go on ‘til he stops wanting to chase squirrels every morning, then say a tearful goodbye. Not yet though!

Had to go to the DMV today after my post-MRI follow-up with the orthopedist to get a temporary disabled parking pass. Took about 40mins. Didn’t mind it tbh. Sorta enjoyed people watching, DMV is a great cross-section of the local population.

It is exhausting having to research and figure out everything from black plastics to best ventilation practices to COVID vaccine schedules, I know this is a wild idea but have we thought about creating publicly funded government bodies that could manage and regulate this stuff on our behalf

the amazing thing about the shoplifting discourse is we’re like ~4 years into it and nobody has seemingly done a “we tracked shoplifting at XYZ locations and for high shoplifting stores we tried XYZ interventions to see what worked”. We can’t get a basic numeric hold on if shoplifting is even rising
