That being said, I know he was a divisive filmmaker but a lot of the people I know who told me they didn’t like his movies are people who are uncomfortable feeling and I always thought that was funny

I feel like things are generally reappraised to often and too favorably. As a kid there were probably actual conversations between people who really believed Candlebox or Blind Melon could be the next Led Zeppelin

even as a teen it was pretty obvious that classic rock posterity was only as good as the management peddling it
