Had a great time at Damhead. Sadly there were no steam engines running which Casey wasn't too pleased with, but after being told why, he withdrew his comment. We were told Michael had been shortly before we arrived, but we must have missed him. Still, hope he had a good time. ~ Jane.

We're off on a day's visit to Damhead Miniature Railway. It's been a while since we were last there so it will great to see old friends agin. Hope to have pics of our visit shared soon. ~ Jane.

As we weren't in Wales this year, we were given permission from the chairman to have a little do at the railway for Whitehouse and @whitehousefilms.bsky.social who both celebrate their 34th birthday today.
Jane made a lovely cake version of Puffa with a chocolate orange filling. Yum. ~ Corps.

Due to the extreme heat, we've been forced to close the railway for the remainder of this week.
Quite a few of us are finding the heatwave quite difficult to work in, some even getting serious sun burns. But worst is that nearly al the tracks have buckled and need repaired.

Puffa has been very busy these last two days. Giving rides to lots of visitors. I'd say this has future potential for a future project.

While last night was a hot evening, it was also a very positive evening with the required filming for the Miniature Railway Adventures test episode going really REALLY well. I've just pieced together the animated shots of the characterS with the NEW footage and it really does look amazing!!! 😁

First look at Lady Grange's model prop before it goes on set tomorrow for its first bit of filming for the test episode of Miniature Railway Adventures. Really, REALLY pleased on how this turned out.

I was taking Lady Grange out on the line today to haul the Mother's Day Special when I had this sudden feeling that something had just vanished for a brief moment of time and then appeared again, only different in some way.

A while ago we were asked what rolling stock we have at the railway. I've asked Whitehouse to draft us up a list of what stock we currently have. We use 4 coaches pre day with guard's vans attached as well as a display goods train at 2pm, hauled by Puffa or Hector, whichever engine is free. ~ Cars.

If you ever see these books in the shops or at your local heritage railway, do give them a read as well as give the author's YouTube channel a like as there's more good content there too. I might write up a review on them, plus they are a good reference for my current WIP project.
